Correction: Stuckey was initially sick. He missed the game (against Philly). Singler replaced him and did well. Stuckey returned and suggested Singler stay in the starting lineup. Stuckey came off the bench and was still in a rut.

Stuckey got injured. Bynum slid into the back up pg role and meshed well with Drummond. Stuckey returned as the back up SG, playing poorly. At some point he began giving up and so not giving effort.

We just don't need crap like this going forward. There's no reason to continue with the guy. He gave effort in the last game, that was the first time in a while.

I agree with you completely Oats. When Rip was here, he almost never shot 3's his first couple years. It wasn't until later that he worked on them and added them to his arsenal.

That comment is BS Jodi. If he was any good then he'd average more than the crap he has been dishing out this season. Stuckey's problem is he doesn't have the drive to be as successful as guys like Kobe, Durant and LeBron. Stuckey has the physical size to dominate almost every guard he goes up against but still can't get it done. I say we cut him loose so he can become someone else's problem. IMHO his fate will be decided on who we choose in the draft. If we end up with Smart or Burke or resign Calderon then its bye bye to the whiny little bitch.

Damn you beat me to what i was going to say. I don't know if there is any kind of surgery that could fix his broken jump shot though. Greg Oden has more luck to come back and average 20/10

Stuckey is just not much of a player. He has a place in the nba but just not thiS team. The thing is even the thing stuckey does well (attack the rim) he doesn't do all that well. I've never seen a player attack the basket and miss the rim more. Not miss the shot. Miss the rim. You can't do that. At that point it's like a turnover with the other team coming the other way hard. i hope to never see him play for Detroit after this season.

"He needs to have surgery to fix that"

You sure he wasn't talking about Stuckey's jumpshot?

Except the dude's play didn't suffer. If you're claiming he peaked in the '09-'10 season, that means you're ignoring the following facts:
- Stuckey took more shots in '09-'10 but was a less efficient scorer
- '09-'10 was one of his worst shooting years, last year was his best
- Going strictly by PER, Stuckey's best 2 years were last year & the year before

Stuckey was never more than a slightly above average player, but the fact that he's fallen off so far between this year and last year leads me to believe that it has to be something else. This is the WORST year of his career by far, and he's only 26. I don't care for his playing style much, but I think he's more likely to average 14 ppg next year than the 10 he's averaging now.
