Tayshaun Prince has attended three Pistons games since Grizzlies trade

Tayshaun Prince has attended three Pistons game since they traded him to the Memphis Grizzlies.

He was already at the arena and traded just before the Jan. 30 Pacers game, so he watched that game from the locker room.

He also played against the Pistons last night.

And the third? David Mayo of MLive:

Prince has been around as much as he’s been gone since the trade. He attended the Pistons’ win over the Washington Wizards just before the All-Star break and his family is still here.

I get sticking around while the Pistons played the Pacers, and it obviously made sense to attend a game he played in. But it’s really cool – and a little weird, no? – of Prince to show up for that Wizards game.

I don’t think it’s weird at all. I’ve stayed in jobs and cities longer than was good for me just because I was attached to the area or everybody there liked me. It doesn’t shock me at all that millionaire basketball players such as Prince or Kevin Garnett might feel the same way about their teams despite their poor championship prospects.

Yeah i agree that it’s not weird at all. I read somewhere that when Calderon found out he was traded he was still giving instructions to other players on what to do. I wasn’t a big fan of Prince his last couple of seasons here but reading stuff like that just makes you realize how much he loves the franchise and fellow players. For that you have to give the guy respect.
