Will Bynum is one of the few players in the NBA who’s has loyalty. We want lose him unless we make him leave. I think most people on these post miss that fact. What quality player would come to Detriot right now?

I’m with you, Will Bynum is one of a few players who actually wants to be a Piston. I been a fan since Zeek and will always be but the only reason I watch now is to see if Will goes off. He is not the problem in Detroit, we’ve had such poor leadership (front office to coaching), who knows when we’ll get better.

First off, I didn’t mention a word about Maxiell.

And I would love to know where you get all this information about Will leaving for nothing at the end of this season.

Will seems pretty happy in Detroit. I don’t see why Dumars wouldn’t want to resign this guy.

I couldn’t think of somebody worse to write for this site.

As for the other comments, it’s true. His talents could have been used elsewhere. But for me as a fan personally, Will is one of the most exciting reasons to watch the Pistons these days.

I tend to disagree with this assesment. If we received a 2nd round pick we still need to exchange the same value in salary. So, that means we would need to take back some garbage contract that is probably not expiring.

It’s better to have flexibility with expirings than to get a 2nd round pick that might not even make the team or if he does needs to improve his basketball IQ and overall game in order to be a meaningful contributor. We have two second round picks on the team now and they haven’t contributed much at all. They might be good in the future and they might not but we know what Jason and Will are and they are good enough to be desirable to other teams so, it’s better to stay in the position we are in.

i doubt anyone was calling about them. It is Joe Dumars’ job to try to sell them. Someone would probably have been willing to give up a second round pick for one or the other,

Bynum is a nice player. Better than the vast majority of second rounders. But he is a free agent after this season. He provides no value to the Pistons for the rest of this season. And if Detroit wanted him, they could re-sign him in the offseason whether he was on the Pistons or any other team.

It’s great and all that Dumars tried to make that happen. Especially if Kupchak really did agree. But we can only assess Joe on what he actually accomplished. Close to pulling off a deal is meaningless.
