Brandon Knight to start for Pistons against Wizards

Brandon Knight is listed as a starter for tonight’s Pistons-Wizards game. In the three games Knight missed, the Pistons lost by 32, 18 and 11. So, if the Pistons fare better tonight, that would clearly proves how important Knight is to this team.

That, or it would show the difference between playing the Wizards and playing the Pacers and Hawks.

Knight is playing great right now, shutting up all his haters! I still think he can be a PG in this league and have a similar game to Westbrook. Ironically, last year I said I wanted Knight to be more explosive and he’s doing just that right now! If we can’t retain Jose I hope while he’s here he teaches Knight how to be a better playmaker. I’m liking our core of Drummond, Monroe and Knight just need another core player and we can make some noise next season!

With that being said, I hope we tank the rest of our games so we can get a high draft pick and a good free agent or 2

My sentiments exactly. He’s played well at the 2 lately but, his last game at point he put up 20 and 10 so I’m not convinced that his hot streak lately is because of his move to the 2 as much as just him being in a groove overall. With that, I like him better at the 1 than the 2 in the long run as well. Right now, I’m just happy to watching him play at the level he’s been playing at lately. Hopefully he continues to light it up.

Lets looks at the competition before we say anything about Knight’s importance.  He’s having a good game offensively, but he’s also getting lit up by Beal.  You have to get the stop or else the bucket you just scored doesn’t matter.

BK is lighting it up. Beal is not killing him, are you watching the game? When does a defender not named Lebron James hold an opponent to nothing? Plus, the Wizards have been very good lately so it shows how many of you actually pay attention to the Association. It’s fun lurking the comment section on this site. I’m convinced most posters only watch box scores and aren’t even fans to begin with. Win or lose it’s been a good offensive game. It’s not like either team is playing for anything at all.

As of the first quarter was when I made my observation.  They were very similar in offensive numbers at that point.

Sick game by knight. Look at calderons numbers dropping In the frank offense about 5 dimes 2to per game not much better then knight and he’s an elite passer plus 10yrs older then knight. Knight will become a starting caliber PG good enough to lead us to the playoffs

why is there so much hate on this kid? first of all he only played one year of college, he is only 22 years old and he is still learning the game. We picked him at 8 and id much rather have him than anyone else a head of him apart from Kyrie. He will be a very good player but people have to stop expecting massive things from such a young guy. I think we are spoilt to have BK, Moose and Dre and we have to let them develop.

Just imagine this guy in 4-5years with the natural skill he has and his work ethic. He will extract everything out of himself and I believe will become an elite level player.

21 years old. One year of college and everyone expects him to be CP3. People just don’t know anything about the game. Bunch of 30 somethings that can’t hit an open J in a YMCA gym.

let’s not forget Jose with 17 assists and NO turnovers. It’s like the are ignoring Frank and just playing ball. More of this, please.

That’s the value of true pg / coach on the floor like Calderon… Allows BK and Moose to do what they do best.

Knight is having a good game. Keep your panties dry until he can string together 3 or 4 good games in a row before crowning him MVP.

Seems like he is starting to thrive in the SG role offensively. Doesn’t hurt to have Jose setting him up for a few easy baskets either.

imagine that Knight 16 or more attempts and other efficient game offensive….who would have ever thought????

The 16 shot thing was already very thoroughly debunked by tarsier and G. He is not more efficient with 16 or more shots, because he is less efficient at everything over 16. He only shot better in games he took exactly 16 attempts, which in no way suggests he needs to shoot more unless you think it means he should always take 16 shots exactly.

It’s a good game by Knight but people shouldn’t crown him anything based on one game. You have to judge his game holistically and with a larger sample size. The only thing consistent about him ,thus far in his pro career, has been his inconsistency; has a great game, disappears for three. No one is mis-taking his youth nor is he expected to be Chris Paul…some people are simply looking for signs of progression. I think it has come to the point where Knight needs to show he can string together a few solid games, doesn’t have to be a 30 pointer back-to-back-to-back mind you, but some progression. He has had enough pro-games under his belt to expect that; after all youth shouldn’t be an excuse for stagnation.

Did anyone notice a striking similarity to how Knight moved without the ball and fought through screens…kind of reminiscent of RIP. I’m just saying. Keep up the good work. Sounds like BK and Jose are developing a little bit of chemistry.
