Detroit has a chance at making the playoffs this year, but Boston is one of a couple teams in the way. Why improve their odds, and why would they improve the Pistons' odds? If it wasn't for that, this would make a lot more sense.

Did I read it right when someone suggested that we should trade for Singler so that would free us up to trade Monroe? REALLY?

NOW I think I've heard it all.

I say where Monroe moving to PF and Drummond starting a C away from making the playoffs. Did you read David Mayo's mlive article about the reason why Drummond isn't starting yet? Talk about towing the company line. I threw up in my mouth a little while reading that bull shit excuse. Her it is if your interested:

Also, if we can get Sullinger back in a deal involving Stuckey, maybe we can then trade Moose for a really good perimeter player or a nice player and a lottery pick. Moose is very good and their pairing could definitely work but if there's another good option it's worth thinking about.

I think the best way, if they're going to try to build around both, is to have a guard who's good at both passing and shooting (Trey Burke?) and guys at the 2 and 3 who are good shooters and defenders (English and Singler?). That would make for a dynamic and balanced offense, with all the spacing and firepower you could want, combined with good D and terrific rebounding.

Burke/Knight
English/Knight
Tay/Singer (or Singler/Middleton if Tay is traded)
Monroe/CV
Drummond/Slava

Alternately, Bynum could just be the PG, but Burke will be better probably.

This way you have 3 shooters when both Greg and Drummond are on the floor and can also play some high-low between them, and for a change of pace you leave just one of them in and then you have 4 shooters and even more space (though less rebounding and D). Sounds like a very effective plan to me and the thing is we are just a pick away. And there are assets we can use to get to Burke if he rises (Bynum, Max, JJ, Stuckey, Daye, Tay, all have some value for one reason or another).

Oh wow hahaha they're past denial and are just delusional! They won't have enough to sign most of the people they're hoping for. I'd say the Pistons probably have better odds to land a star acquisition this summer than the Celtics, we're one star (heck just one solid contributor) away from competing in the playoffs.

I don't mean to take pleasure in anyone's injury/misfortune but click on this link and have a read of the comments. It makes you feel good where we are in our re-building phase. These Celtic fans are all in denial. They need to start re-building asap but the people commenting seem to think that they should stay the course and not trade anyone. I feel that keeping Pierce and KG there now could set them back 4-5 years which is what we did with our vets.

Lorenzo we have the right to complain when the coach puts in CV rather than Drummond who is our best rebounder on that last play. No we are not a championship team but when our team is blowing double digit leads like we have all season then we have every right to complain. Anyone with any basketball knowledge would of had Drummond in on that last play. To tell you the truth i am down right angry about it to tell you the truth.

As a lottery team that is more than likely going to be in the lottery again this year, you can't complain about the nature of a win. If you have the talent of a championship contender you can complain of the win quality, if you have the talent level of a lottery team like us, you should feel lucky to win on any given night.
