Kyle Singler says he hasn’t hit rookie wall
Vincent Goodwill of The Detroit News:
it’s fair to wonder if the rigors of the NBA schedule have hit him already.
"I think guys can hit it, I haven’t felt it yet," Singler said. "It’s all about your mental approach to it. We’ve been smart, haven’t practiced too long and too tough. I’ve been doing a great job with Arnie (Kander) as far as feeling healthy. Once your body breaks down, you can’t let your mind go."
Perhaps Singler saying he hasn’t hit the rookie wall is his way of not letting his mind go. If so, that’s fine. But whatever the issue, his shooting percentages (field-goal in blue and 3-point in red) are trending in the wrong direction.

Odens looking for a team to rehab with! The Pistons should be all over this.
Oden/Drummond/Monroe has all-time great potential if Arnie could get him back to form.

I second that! We got McDyess and T-Mac back into playing shape, Oden could be Kander’s greatest restoration yet.

If anyone can do it, meaning probably only one person can do it. Its arnie. Unless……50mill ten year re-sign for Max! Jokes a side I wouldn’t mind having Max as the 4th big on this team. We still need a young Mcdyess to land in Detroit though for sure.

Please. I hope this happens. Knowing Dumars, he’ll probably re-sign Maxiell to a stupid contract and watch Oden go flourish in Phoenix.
One can dream though…

i do not think this is terrible for single. the chart show that he was converting both 2point and 3point baskets at an alarming rate. He has simply moved back down to the planet on which highly effective nba shooters dwell. 2pointers 42% 3pointers 35%

Nba starting sg’s are now familiar with singler on game film. They have adjusted. Now, he has a career to adjust himself.

Singler needs to mock his game after Dunleavy, or least take some notes. This is a lot to ask out of him with a new position, but as stated before its his time now to adjust.

Singler real problem is in lateral foot speed, he cannot move his feet to defend quicker people and he cannot take guys off the dribble to create his own shot; too many pump fakes, he needs to be stronger and more AGGRESSIVE when shooting and he would be fine
