Monroe did really have it going tonight. He has skills but I can understand the growing pains issue. He is capable of shooting right and left hand hooks from about 5-7 feet but doesnt do it every game. He can shoot midrange jumpers but is hesitant and when that happens it usually results in a turnover or one of those wild across the lane bricks. Against the heat he had it all working, left, right and the jumper. Lebron and Wade took it to another level and the Pistons just had to watch their asses get kicked without being able to do anything about it.

@I hate Frank. You have provided lots of keen insight and posts, but that statement cannot be allowed to stand. LOL. I was emotional and upset that Lebron and Wade were toying with us. But I could never get THAT emotional to even begin to think that Austin Rivers is a viable option

I guess I only catch Monroe's horrible games and miss his good ones so I have distorted opinion of him. Still, I don't see how any Piston can get an A+ in a 22 point loss. An A should be the cap for a losing effort unless the player scores 50 or keeps the game close until the end.

Didn't we beat the Heat before?

Exactly! Tell me Drummond can't check Lebron, Carmelo, or Durant? This guy gets a perimeter stickup every game

I'd prefer a Chauncey type attitude myself. Ben Wallace, too. It's rare, but as long as a team is being built, why not factor it in? Play hard and with good sportsmanship.

This small-ball excuse needs to stop. They drafted 2 true bigs with the intent of playing big. So either play big all the time, or trade one of them for a stretch 4 and play small ball. This waffling back/forth in games is not going to get them anywhere. Pick an identity and embrace it.

All the talk about seeing the plan through and not wavering game by game, yet thats exactly what they are doing. The original plan was to get 2 true bigs and play big. But as soon as a team goes small, that original plan is suddenly null and void. They can't keep messing around like that. Either go big or go small.

This issue is going to go away on its own. Dre and Moose aren't going anywhere, and there's always going to be small teams. They invested 2 lotto picks on Dre and Moose, so eventually they have to play big min together. I don't see whats going to change next year. Might as well just start the process now, or make a decision that it doesn't work and move on.

The fact that Drummond has displayed ability to guard perimeter players, evident by last nights defense on Wade, as well as the GW 3pt block on Lou Williams, the answer to the problem is simple. You just put Drummond on the perimeter 4, if teams elect to go small, and let Monroe guard the Center. Then switch on offense.

BK can run the point, has a better outside shot, is more athletic, and has huge ears. Stuckey is terrible. I hate watching him play basketball. Please, give him away for 2 cents on the dollar.
