No need for the Pistons to bring back Ben Wallace...he's only a shadow of his old self. Going back to the past is senseless. There's nothing there. Wallace is at the point of his life where injuries would began to plague him if he came back. His body may look good, but his body is older than 38.

If such a trade could bring back an expiring deal and a late first round draft pick, I'd be all for it. If much less than that, I'd really want to see how Stuckey does with Calderon. It is worth knowing if that is a good pairing. And I'm unsure if three weeks is enough time to figure that out.

True, but I'd just as soon see what Slava can offer. Maybe it'll be brutal. But this season is lost. At least Detroit should see what they have.

True but it does give the Pistons a good chance to see how well he fits with their core. If he is a good fit, he would probably be worth re-signing, at the right price. Otherwise, he still has the potential to yield the Pistons an asset by going to a capped out team via S&T.

Who friggin' cares what he will "want to play". He is under contract. He is being paid millions of dollars to play whatever position he is told to play. If his coach tells him to go out there and play center, Magic Johnson-style, he better bloody well do it.

I think bringing Big Ben back would be great. Vet minimum, and keep him around for practice to teach our big men how to fight and give maximum effort. Ben Wallace is the PERFECT person for Drummond to be around, nobody better to learn from (effort wise) that Big Ben (my favorite piston ever) Obviously Calderon is not here to stay, but like some have mentioned he has a big expiring contract. I think the next thing for us to do now is amnesty Unk Chuck (even though I like his effort this year) he is being paid starter money for bench worthy performance. We will see how B. Knight does with the SG position to finish the year and if he thrives we can use our cap to sign a good PG if hes awful either continue him at the PG and sign a SG or possibly package B. Knight with Maxiell for one of the 2 guard positions we dont fill with free agency. HOWS THIS SOUND FELLERS!!!?

Flynn is a bum. He's playing in the Australian league atm and there are better PG than him playing there.

i am typically a fierce advocate of that position.
and if maxiell stays, don't sign ben.
but if you could trade max for, say, a first round choice, then ben could sign on and essentially replace maxiell.
