Well, you do have to remember that last year Frank didn't move Knight into the starting lineup because of his play. He did so, just like with Singler, because Stuckey had gotten injured and then realized that not only was Knight our best option at pg, but that Stuckey was better as a sg. So far all of the lineup adjustments we've made as a team that have improved our play have happened because of injuries creating openings, not because Frank made adjustments.

So it's no surprise that Frank has Drummond still riding the bench. As it stands, the most likely way Drummond ends up in the starting lineup is if Maxiell gets injured and Frank finally realizes that Drummond gives us a better chance at winning the hard way.

I'm just saying, you are making an assumption that Laimbeer had a big impact on Love when, in fact, there is little evidence of that. Love hasn't ever really talked about Laimbeer much, and he did, in fact, butt heads with at least the head coach early in his career. There's as much evidence that that coaching staff as a whole did as much to hinder his development as help it. The same things that have everyone mad about Drummond -- limiting his minutes despite superior production -- happened to Love in Minnesota. That may not have been Laimbeer's decision, but he was a part of a staff that undoubtedly handled him that way.

Laimbeer was part of a coaching staff that frustrated Minnesota fans by not playing Love enough his first two seasons in the league. What makes you think he had such a large role in Love's development?

Only coach Im interested in is Bill Laimbeer. NBA Champion player, WNBA Championship coach, helped turn Kevin Love into the best rebounding scorer in the league. All he needs is a chance. Bring him in next year.

I'm on the fence with this one.

If they are doing this on purpose to get a high draft pick, and hire a better coach - fine.

If they aren't doing this purposefully, they are all incompetent and embarrassing.

I don't know why people are so bitter about the losing? Every loss will toss a few more ping pong balls in Detroit's favor come June.

If they can get a top 3 pick and draft Shabazz, they could field two athletically elite players on the floor with him and Drummond and really be a competitive team, not just some team aiming at an 8th seed.

Someone posted all the available coaches. Saunders can't coach in the playoffs, he doesn't make adjustments. How would Patrick Ewing help Moose and Dre? He was the assistant in Orlando for how many years, working with Dwight? And Dwight still has no offensive game.

Detroit should stick it out with Frank. I think it would be foolish to believe that bringing in another coach mid-season is going to completely turn the team around.

Maybe Lambeer, not Zeke. I want a good coach with a winning record, not a dog and pony show. Yes, he was a great player.

I wonder, how many more losses it will take, before Gores and Joe ask L. Frank to clean out his desk.

After the first 10 games, WE are 1-9. The experienced L. Frank lost to the very green, Jacque Vaughn.

It will be difficult to replace Frank, if he is allowed to go 1-19 or 2-18 or even 3-17, because a "real" NBA coach, may not be interested in slopping seconds, left by L. Frank. The next 7 games, remainder of the month, should do it for L. Frank:

Sun. (11/18) vs. the Celtics
Wed. (11/21) @ the Magic
Fri. (11/23) vs. the Raptors
Sun. (11/25) @ the Knicks
Mon. (11/26) vs. Trailblazers
Wed. (11/28) vs. the Suns
Fri. (11/30) @ the Grizzilies

Let's be serious, the Celtics are not coming to the Palace on Sunday to lose; WE just lost to the Magic at the crib, probably will not beat them in Orlando on Wednesday; the Raptors have been known to beat OUR Pistons and know US well, as WE've played a couple of times during the preseason; the Knicks probably will take US in the Garden on the 25th; the Trailblazers starting 5 is far better than OUR current starting 5 and play a better brand of ball than OUR lowly Pistons; the Suns have already beaten US and probably will, again; and there ain't no way in Hell, this current roster of Pistons will beat the Grizzlies, especially in Memphis.

WE can easily be 1-16 or 2-15 at the end of the month. If so, fire Frank and hire Zeke.

My greatest hope is that LF and JoeD are conciously playing Prince and Max in the hope that they will play well so that someone will offer them something for them at the trade deadline. might as well stink it up in the process i guess and get that final piece in this year's Draft...
