Viacheslav Kravtsov to D-League hasn’t been discussed by Pistons
"We believe in the D-League, we think it’s a great resource, but we haven’t really discussed it in terms of (Kravtsov)," Frank said. "I think what you do is you try to look at your schedule, look at the D-League schedule, and try to match it, so it would be premature to comment on that."
The Fort Wayne Mad Ants, Detroit’s D-League affiliate, don’t begin their season for another week. Still, I don’t expect Viacheslav Kravtsov will get sent down any time soon, if at all. The Pistons have typically preferred their young players work with NBA coaches, and I don’t think the 25-year-old Kravtsov will be an exception. He has playing experience. He needs NBA experience.

Khris Middleton.
If they don’t put Middleton in the D-league, I consider the statement “we believe in the D-league” to be either a lie or literal statement that they believe it exists but don’t intend to utilize it.
I don’t mind if Khris is up with the team for a little while to get some practices and coaching from the top level guys, but he needs to play. They need to give him things to work on, specifically, and let him do it in Fort Wayne. Especially if he only gets 1:15 at the end of a 20 point blowout.

macklin went to the D league last year and was dominant. what good did it do for Detroit, they still played Maxiell and Wallace and we will never know what Macklin could have done.

I still think Slava has a chance to get minutes of play, but it’s depending on Drummond’s status. Frank is using A.D. as a backup center so there are no minutes left for another center. If Frank finally manages to play Monroe and Drummond together that would leave Slava the backup center minutes and Maxiel/Jerebko for the backup PF spot.

A year ago, who would’ve thought that Detroit just wouldn’t have enough front court minutes to spread around?
