is it a coincidence that frank's last few teams have started their seasons out so horribly?
the 0-16?
the 4-24?
the 0-3, soon to become....?
the 3 losses, this season, aren't so meaningful. what makes this year so tough, even now, is the fact that the team looks so chaotic on the floor. and this chaos comes from a team that starts the exact same starting five that played the last 2/3's of last season together. if this team featured a new starting five and that 5 struggled, it would make sense. but the fact that these starters, who should know each other and their roles, look so bad makes no sense at all.
except that it must reflect something that frank does or does not do at the beginning of seasons.
not sure what that he does or does not do, but the tendency of his teams to play so poorly is probably not a coincidence.

How is it a defense first game? Just like you don't care how many points are going up if they're just going back and forth, I don't care how many stops you're getting if you're never putting it in.

Alarming!! Smh, another hard to watch game with few bright spots. The rookies along with Jerebko continue to provide quality minutes and bring tremedous energy and effort. The starters only putting up 13 in a quarter pathetic. I figured we would go big on this game, no knocks to maxiell but it just would have made sense to put Slava or Drummond in to be physical with LA's bigs right?? Max would have played reguardless but hey im no coach... I just dont like what im seeing even if it is only three games into the season. They just dont look like a team who believes in what they are doing if things dont go there way. Im not sure whats going on with Stuckey but as predicted, we ride or die with him and the amount of minutes he soakes up so, he must get this thing turned around fast! Prince is just along for the ride it seems so I'd give the nod to Jerebko or even Singler at this point, off the bench would suit him offically now but then again the second unit runs the floor like the first unit SHOULD so Prince may even hender that notion. So far, A TOTAL MESS in the first 3 games.

<p>Also, your 'FEED THE MOOSE AND THE BRAHMA BULL' tagline on every comment is getting just as annoying as Ray's 'i hate you Lawrence Frank' nonsense.</p>

<p>"Drummond did great. Pau and Dwight had to actually work to score when he was in."

Vic, come on. You're just being dishonest with that argument. You know that Drummond barely played against those two, right? He played against them in the first half and looked just as lost as the starters. Then he played a few minutes in the second half against them when Brown brought his starters back when the game got to within 20 points or so.

Drummond played primarily against Hill/Sacre. You're kidding yourself if you think he wouldn't have had the same struggles against LA's starters that Monroe/Maxiell did. He had an overall uneven performance. A few positive plays mixed with a few negative ones. The net positive, as Dan wrote, is that he played with far more effort than the others. And if you notice, he was rewarded for that effort and allowed to play through mistakes in the second half because of it. </p>

<p>"Its ironic that Max/Monroe got D’s because they didn’t play no D!"

They also played almost all of their minutes against Dwight/Pau. The backups certainly looked better, but they were also going against the Lakers far weaker bench. Unless you think Robert Sacre and Jordan Hill basically are the equivalent of Pau/Dwight? </p>
