Pistons failed in transition defense 74 (!) times in season opener against Rockets
Keith Langlois of Pistons.com:
Charted by LFrank in season opener: 74 total individual failures to get back in prompt manner in transition D in loss to Rockets.
Without more context, it’s impossible to know exactly what that number means, but holy moly, it sounds awful.
Players: Lawrence Frank

FEED THE MONSTER AND THE BEAST. THE MOOSE AND THE BRAHMA BULL. MONROE AND DRUMMOND.

That’s going to be my trolling statement until they average 70 minutes a game together.

70 mpg may be a bit much. Those are star player minutes for both of them. And not as in star of the team but as in a star in the league. Frankly, I’d be impressed if Drummond is able to consistently stay on the floor around 35 mpg without fouling out. And if last season is any indicator, he’d have to because Monroe can’t play longer than that without tiring too much.

That seems about right. Houston repeatedly and easily made them pay for slowly backpedaling down the court. Very worrisome for a so-called hungry young team.

they play like a bunch of pre-madonna sissies. too much pride to be a “high energy team,” and not skilled enough to win without out-hustling the other team.

I don’t see how them not being familiar with ‘Like a Virgin’ makes them sissies.

Well played, Patrick.
It’s hilarious when people’s typing betrays that they have only ever heard a word and have never thought about it or seen it written. By the way, snake, the term is prima donna.
