Rockets: Asik; Patterson (if he's out Terrance Jones is expected to start); Parsons; Harden; Lin.

Will there be any pregame primer or whatnot? The Rockets really seem like a prime opponent against which to start Drummond. Asik is a non-scorer and will probably get the assignment on Monroe regardless. Lin and now Harden are big on getting to the rim, and neither Maxiell nor Monroe are rim protectors.

Stop with the head-games, start Drummond!

Havent been on here for a few days, but has there been any information regarding the starters for tonight? I am heading to the opener tonight and I am excited about the game. I have a man crush on Royce White. I saw him in Vegas up close in summer league and I LOVE this dude's game. I dont know how much he will play but I want to see the young guys Houston has and how they mesh. I also want to know if Frank is going to spring on us the twin towers Monroe and Drummond. He hasnt played them together all preseason but I wonder if that is something they were working out over the last week of practice?

L. Frank may be well read, but to me he is still a little dummy. Look, if Casey is smart enough to start the 20 year old (May 6, 1992) rookie, Jonas Valanciunas nest to Andrea Bargnani.
Then you would think that the well read, L. Frank would be smart enough to start Dre Drummond (19 years old), next to Moose.
Valanciunas is getting the start for the Raptors over both, Ed Davis and Amir Johnson.
It can be argued quite, successfully that both Davis and Johnson are as good, if not better than Maxey.
L. Frank may need to stop being so much of a bookworm and start using some common sense, when it comes to OUR starting lineup and rotations.
Oh, and for the last time before the OUR season tips off, tonight, Jerebko should be starting in place of Tay. Tay should be OUR sixth-man, if WE can pawn him off to another team.

The team as a whole seemed extremely proactive and engaged over the summer, and Stuckey in particular seemed to motivate and push his teammates to show up at summer league and before preseason to work together.

I don't know how much the book had to do with it - but I approve. It seems like a very good sign that so many players are going 'above and beyond' what they are required to do.

While I'd love to see wins, I'll be also happy if the young guys work hard and work together.

(hey, opening night is tonight - I'm entitled to wear rose colored glasses for at least a week!)
