I'd guess Monroe is top 50 somewhere. Stuckey and Prince both right around 100 probably 80-110 range. Knight will be 150-200 ish.

Why single out Billups and Wallace? In their championship season, Hamilton and Sheed were just as good. And in the next couple years, so was Prince.

I'm with you on Wallace. It always used to piss me off that people said the Pistons had no stars back in 2003-04 when they beat the Lakers for the championship. If you look at their overall performance both Billups and Wallace should have been considered starsNeither had the offensive stats that the media glamourizes but Billups was one of the most efficient players in the league (especially as regards assist to turnover ratio) and Wallace just shut opposing players and sometimes it seemed teams down by himself. But then efficiency and defense aren't generally recognized the way they should be.

Billups and Wallace may not have been stars, but they have rings, and fans have happy memories.

Somewhere in the 400s. As Dan and I mentioned in our previous posts, the voting in these rankings tends to be hard on rookies, particularly on second round or undrafted guys. Quite a few of those guys (notably Jeremy Lin) ended up drastically out-performing their ranking last year, but overall, it's just really hard to predict the 'current quality' of a player who has no NBA experience, so I think most people tend to err on the low side in their votes.

JJ isn't a starting level player, even on a bad team like the Pistons. If you figure the starting caliber players are the top 150, right around 200 is about right for Jerebko. He is a solid back-up, but not a top of the line one.

Several former stars got a lot more "historically good" points than Ben Wallace did, but really the only Piston ranked so far that got screwed was Jerebko. You're out of your basketball mind if you think Tristan Thompson or Eric Maynor are better players than Jerebko is.

Jerebko and Villianueva will more than likely perform better than they rankingg show because it is a contract year for Villy and Jonas will look to get more minutes this upcoming season. As for Daye, Detroit has no one to blame for his failures than itself essentially setting him up for failure since he arrived in the league.
