Jonas Jerebko injures ankle in FIBA EuroBasket play
Via Os Davis of Ball In Europe, Jonas Jerebko injured his ankle playing for Sweden in a win over Luxembourg on Tuesday:
The Detroit Piston was injured in Tuesday’s win against Luxembourg; while the injury is not deemed serious (he certainly won’t miss any NBA games), it comes nevertheless at a seriously bad time for the Swedes. Currently at 2-2, Team Sweden is statistically tied with Azerbaijan and Bulgaria for second place in Group B with four games to play. The top two to three teams from the group will advance to the next round.
Jerebko is reportedly a game-time decision for Sweden’s game Thursday against Bulgaria.

Here’s a link to the tournament for Kravtsov’s stats. You can easily search through there and find Jerebko’s as well, who’s been doing very well.

Kravstov has played pretty well. Averaging about 3 blocks per game in limited minutes, so that’s definitely a good sign for the Pistons.

I agree. 9 points and 5 rebounds in 20 minutes is pretty much holding your own, if you can defend your position without getting scored on constantly. However the 3 blocks in 20 minutes is way above average, hopefully it translates.

He’s not playing against the level of talent the NBA has. I can’t say this was definitely a good sign yet.

Hmm, that previous link doesn’t work on here but it works on DBB. Let me try this again but a different way.

Lost in the discussion is the fact that Jerebko was injured while playing against Luxembourg. Luxembourg. I’m reasonably certain my Saturday pickup game could put together a better starting 5.
