As friends and neighbors of Dan and Bernie, we are heartbroken!  Dan was sweet, kind, gentle, generous and honest as the day is long. He was a loving husband to Bernie, a wonderful Dad to Christopher and Corey, and a loving Grandfather. He was very active in multiple charities, and he had a big and giving heart.  We always enjoyed dates with Dan and Bernie. They were a very loving couple, devoted to each other since they were very young. We just can't think of Bernie without Dan. We extend our thoughts, prayers and sympathies to Bernie, her sons, the Grandchildren and to all the members of Dan and Bernie's families. Athletic ability is a talent and skill, being a wonderful, kind ,soft and generous person is the most impressive quality about Dan. I am so hurting for Dan and for Bernie.
