Watching them interview the little sisters and parents is kind of brutal.

yep – all of these interviews are brutal; they’re teenagers, not public speakers….

Ross at #8 means….
Can we trade up and get #10, too?!

Watching the draft online from the Netherlands: Drummond still there Pistons on the clock! I hope they take him. I would love our frontcourt then!

So how many people were jumping up and down because we got Drummond? Can’t wait to see how this season starts, he is really raw, but man he could put up some very athletic plays.

Haha, actually, litterally :P Fist pumps included lol
But my girlfriend is asleep in the other room: it’s 3.30 am in the Netherlands right now :P
So unfortunately I had to keep quiet, or I would’ve yelled as well :P

I’m amazed that you both took Sullinger over PJ3. I felt like those two were about a 50/50 call in terms of order before news about Sully’s health concerns.

Btw: are they booing David Stern? If yes, why exactly? Is it still about the lockout? Or do they do this every year? (my first live draft :|)
Can’t determine whether it’s building anticipation with oohs or boohs…

Yeah, they do it every year. Seems to be a little bit louder this year, but it’s all part of the draft game. And I think Stern kind of loves it. Had a huge smile on his face the whole time during the opening.

Hmm, interesting.. Any idea why they do it? Is there an idea to it, or was there initially? Or is it just a general ‘ordinary people vs. The Man’ thing?

Yeah, I think that’s mostly it. Plus Stern has always kind of enjoyed being smug and being an antagonist. Crowd loves to boo him, Stern loves to be booed.

Thanks for the quick replies, Patrick :)
I kinda like the booing :) I also can’t help but like Sterns smugness: overall I think he has been (and is) a great commish. What do you guys think?

I don’t like everything he does, but he’s certainly been overall great. I enjoy how arrogant he is. He just trolled the crowd by saying ‘NBA Champion Miami Heat’ and you could tell he really enjoyed doing that. Pretty entertaining.
