he is a poor man's ray allen. when you watch him play it is clear he's been studying allen. biggest difference is that jenkins is not the elite athlete allen was, in his prime. he's just not quite the player, but he is the kind of guy who will find a niche in the league. he's clutch and he's got a sweet shot. not a bad combo.
even when teams tried to shut him down, he often found ways to get his shot. on that vandy team, they really relied on his ability to get open and knock down shots. he did a pretty good job, considering.

In the second round if no bigs are left then I'm not opposed to finding a scorer. They do show how Jenkins form is similar to Ray Allen's. Not a bad form to emulate, but Allen is more than his form. Few ever in the NBA have come off of a pick or a curl better than Allen has. That little highlight reel showed very little of Jenkins off of the ball movement. While he may have been the best scorer on his team he is probably not going to be able to break defenders down like that on the NBA level. Will he have the ability to adapt and knockdown open jumpers off of a kick out pass, or finding that open spot when Stuckey drives, or coming off of a screen getting a pass and shooting? That's what will really need to be determined.
