Yeah, I recognized that d is adjacent to f. Ditto for e and r. Anyway, your point is definitely valid. But it is also valid that this press doesn't mean anything for sure because we have heard this about seemingly everyone else before.

Yeah, Daye was typically slotted to go around where he did, maybe high teens. Knight was definitely a better prospect, but that is largely because of the higher floor. Think about it like Knight vs. Irving. Knight's potential is just as high as Irving's. But the average estimate for how good he'll end up is significantly lower because his floor is so much lower. Daye's ceiling was basically Durant-lite. Maybe somewhere between Peja and Reggie Miller. Knight's ceiling is something like D-Will. Knight's may be higher, but at least in my opinion, not all that much higher. However. I would much rather have Knight, even before Daye more or less confirmed his status as total bust.

The difference, also, is that one has an abundance of confidence in himself and the other doesn't. If you don't have confidence in yourself, you can't look deep inside for motivation to improve. You definitely get the sense that Knight feels like he's in complete control over where he wants to be as a player. With Daye, it doesn't seem like he believes the same way as Knight.

The difference between Knight and Daye (lulz) is that there is always proof of his work ethic. With Daye we always get pictures of puppies and in the locker room tied up or of him planking. Its always words and proclamations from Daye. It always seems (to me at least ) to be a marketing/talking up of his work habits. With Knight it doesnt seem fabricated, its always genuine. For Daye not so much.

Miss some of this stuff from Daye. He's on the brink of making the team or not next year (might be traded before the draft day). Instead of his best achivements in planking there would be a good idea to post some pics were we could see him working hard on the court...

I'm surprised you even understood the part when I said he fell to eight since my iPad decided to change the words to dell and right. Knight went everywhere on mock drafts from 3rd to 5th to going 9th (lowest). I don't remember Daye even being mentioned as a top 10 pick the year he went in and no oe knew much about Jerebko before we got him and outside of Michigan if you say Jerebko people are gonna say "who?" mostly. I think at this point it might be safe to say Knights development means more to us than anybody on the team not named Monroe. I don't think it's fair to even put Knights potential in the same sentence as Daye's. It will/would be if he could gain some weight, but we're already looking to replace him (Alonzo Gee)

I don't really think he has much more potential than Daye. Their ceilings seemed comparable. Knight just has the higher floor. And the fact that many projected Knight going third is irrelevant. That was just because they expected the Jazz to reach out of need for a PG. Nobody actually thought he was a top 3 prospect in the draft.

True but Knight had/has more potential than both Jerebko and Daye. Daye was taken in the middle of the first round and Jerebko was a second rounder. Knight dell to right when most thought he would be top 3. To see Knight working on his game, IMO, means much more to the Pistons than Jerebko or Daye "getting better"

This is great to hear but i seriously hope this is not one of those Dumars/public relation type things where they try to make out that things are all rosy with our players. Yeah its great that he is in the gym working on getting better but as far as i am concerned that is what he is supposed to (and is paid) to do. I recall a similar type article that mentioned that Daye was working out in the off-season with Durant. I like most pistonpowered readers were thinking 'wow' maybe this is where Daye turns the corner and becomes great but we all know how that story has panned out. There was also another article on how Jerebko had put on more weight/muscle so he could stand the rigors of playing PF. I don't get a pat on the back for going to work everyday cause that is what i am paid to do and either should the players. These stories sound like something out of the Matrix…red or blue pill??
