Lawrence Frank wears headband in support of Ben Wallace

Keith Langlois of Pistons.com:

If tonight’s season finale is really the 16-year veteran’s swan song, he’ll go out as a Pistons starter.

Over his mild objections.

“He wanted to come off the bench,” Frank said, a blue headband on in honor of Big Ben after the Pistons’ final shootaround of the season Thursday morning. “But that’s a non-discussion starter. He’s starting.”

Man, I hope photo evidence of Frank in a headband is online soon. Honestly, I’ve linked Lawrence Frank all year mainly because he’s not John Kuester. But both starting Wallace in what could be his final game and making himself (I assume) look silly by wearing a headband in support of one of the greatest defensive players in league just made me like him more. Add this to my coach of the year argument.

Screw lottery balls. We’re stuck at 9th anyway. I hope we win tonight because for the first time in a long time we have something to play for. And that something is Big Ben Wallace.

Good move by Coach Frank to let Big Ben start and enjoy his final game if this is indeed his last game….

yeah, the tank is over. Nothing to gain by losing at this point. It’ll be fun to root for a win for the first time in a while. Sucks that the game is on the same time as the NFL Draft though. I really want to watch Ben in his last game, but I’ve been looking forward to the draft for months….hmm. Tough call

Thats awesome that Frank is starting him. I gain more respect for Frank all the time.

DVR the draft..The NFL draft is boring as hell anyways.. You can check into the draft at halftime and get caught up.
