I don’t get to see too many college games, so I really have to go off of scouting reports and what ends up being highlight reels of the players. That hurts a lot with making scouting judgements, but I will say it is nice to see one of these reels with defense being shown. His game looks extremely raw, I think I only saw two moves to the left in the entire thing. If I was certain that detroit was going to be a running team I’d probably be drooling over him. I’m not seeing him score off of set plays, what I was seeing was him using superior athleticism to dominate an opponent, that’s fine, but traditionally detroit does not run an offense that caters to that style of player at all.

don’t really have a strong view about harkless as i’ve only seen him in one game, and he really didn’t stand out.
but i’m always a bit skeptical of NYC players as the hype that precedes them often overstates their real substance.
for every chris mullin or kenny anderson or ron artest, there are 10 sebastian telfairs and albert kings or lenny cookes or stephon marburys.
maybe he’s a player. i guess we’ll see…
