Bradley Beal is the best shooting I have seen in a long time I wasn't to crazy about this guy at the beginning of the year he had to carry the load for the gators had to guard small forwards like Terrance Jones and rebound over davis and still managed to score 20+points against the defending champs led his team to the elite eight in a game that was there's until walker kept making mistakes I would love to have him on this team

If the Pistons wind up at 8 (could happen if GS wins another game), then Beal is just the sort of player that you happily scoop up if he surprisingly falls in the draft (like Knight and Monroe). And I would be ecstatic to get him at 8 or 9 (the Pistons' most likely draft position). But if they luck into a top 3 pick, there's no way Beal is the right pick. So he is either the obvious pick because of strange choices by other GMs or he is not a real candidate.

Is no one questioning the issues that a 6'3" shooing guard might have in the NBA? Stuckey is 6'5", Knight is 6'3", with a long wingspan and usually guarding the point guards. Beal looks like he has some pretty long arms too, but at some point those guards that are 3 inches or more taller than him are going to have an advantage. If we had a trade lined up I could see drafting him, or drafting him and then trying heavily to move at least one of the guards we have on our team already. To draft a guard or reach on a big man... well, there would have to be a well done evaluation of where any guard on this team could be moved before not reaching for that big. It's a real need on this team and it's only going to get worse when/if big ben retires.

Drafting a two guard is not that bad if they are by far the best player on the board but look at Faried from last year we really missed out there. If we did draft a two guard not sure putting Stuckey on the bench is a good idea.

It's hard to say for sure what a draft will look like a year out. So many players take leaps or underperform. This year's draft went from being considered potentially one of the greatest ever to just solid.

You never know. Knight was pegged as high as 3 last year. Yet we got him at 8

It would be a very smart move for the Pistons to send Utah's choice of Stuckey or Knight AND there number 1 pick (top 3 protected) in 2013 for Favors. 2013 looks like a terrible draft.

Beal is fantastic. Eric Gordon+ and without the injuries. Could be top 3 2-guards in the league at his peak. But there is almost no chance the Pistons will draft him because he's likely 4th on their draft board.

I think they'd be open to moving one of their bigs if it meant they'd find help at PG. So for the Pistons to be a match, they'd probably have to be willing to part with either Knight or Stuckey (depending on if Utah thinks he's more of a PG than a SG). Detroit just doesn't seem all that inclined to discuss either of those guys in trades though, even if it would potentially bring back a good big.

Well they don't exactly have 2 lottery picks yet. They currently have the 8 seed and GS could actually get into the top 7 of the lottery leaving them with none. But I see your point on the long shotness of landing Favors.
