If you look back at 09/10 season, and that team, salary wise and everything, its funny how Ben was probably the only player we could trade..

Oh, I think there’s a definite market. I’m just not sure how many teams would actually bother to call, since it’s pretty common knowledge that Wallace is retiring and he came back for the sole purpose of retiring a Piston. But if Detroit made him available or if Wallace wanted to go, they would undoubtedly get something for him.

We're assessing the trade market for every player on the roster. We're not going to skip over a player because Laser thinks it's ridiculous.

Is it far-fetched? Absolutely. But on the off-chance a contender called and offered Dumars a first and a second to rent Wallace or something crazy? It would be considered. Or if Wallace's salary was necessary to make a bigger trade work? It would probably happen. In that case, Wallace would just retire now instead of in six or eight weeks.

I’m all for content, but this is a little ridiculous. Joe wouldn’t do it, Ben wouldn’t go for it. It’s not worth discussing. You may as well debate the virtues of trading for Lebron.

I think any contender would love to have Ben Wallace. There is definitely a market out there, how could there not be? What’s mutually beneficial? The 30th pick in the draft? You’re telling me the Heat wouldn’t give up a first rounder to all but guarantee a championship? I’d be shocked if Dumars hasn’t gotten any calls. It’s entirely up to Ben. If he wants to go I’m sure there are plenty of teams that would go after him.

dont think ben would go anyways, he has as much said so he would go home. i have a question probably for a another story but what about trading daye,bynum and even cv at this point healthy or not cv still dont play d, and wouldnt probaly fit system what you think?

Unless the pistons are getting Kevin Love or Serge Ibaka for Ben Wallace, he should finish his career in Detroit! I reallywant him back as an Assistant Coach next year, though
