    Drummond stays at UConn!  Barnes is the pick!  2012-13 is : B.Knight, R,Stuckey, H.Barnes, G.Monroe, C.Kaman.

I also saw that Drummond will be staying another year…oh well. I have been on record saying that I want Harrison Barnes but only if we can somehow address our big man situation first

How good is it seeing Knight step up against Jennings who himself is having a great game. The young kid is even showing some emotion which is great to see as well.

Knight made some nice passes in the first half and although it wasn’t all that productive, Prince Stuckey and Knight were throwing the ball into Monroe in the post.

And Monroe would have gotten more looks in the post but Gooden was doing a pretty good job of denying him the ball.

There was a play where Prince caught the ball in the pos, Stuckey caught the ball in the paint and Prince hit him with the past about a second or two after getting the ball himself after which Stuckey hit a turnaround bank shot.
This play illustrates for me why the criticism of Prince as a ball stopper is off.  If no one moves or gets open, then yes he is going to methodically work for his shot but it’s not his fault if the play is actually called for him to take the shot or if he is merely an option and no one eles gets open or cuts.
An another play, Monroe got an offensive rebound in the area he likes to post but there were two defenders on him so he passed the ball out to Prince who immediately threw it back to Monroe for the repost.   Prince will make the right and obvious pass when it is there but it often is not.
Another thing I was noticing in case anyone’s annoyed that he took 10 shots (hitting five of them) is that sometimes he is clearly the best outside shooter on the floor.   When Knight is out, a lineup of Monroe, any 4, Stuckey and Russell is one where Prince should be looking for his jumper.

Watching Knight and Jennings go at it is pretty exciting…they should just clear the court and let them go at it 1-1 first to 21 wins lol on a more serious note, Knight has yet to turn the ball over and has 3 assist to Jennings 0. It’s good to see Knight showing up a potential all star in Jennings so far halfway through the 3rd

That bounce pass to Stuckey from Knight was beautiful…I think I might even shed a tear

Just wow on how much ass Knight is kicking right now. Not that Jennings is a great defensive player. But normally Knight struggles to put up numbers on anyone.

What’s better than his personal stats though is he is playing within himself and just doing what the team needs to get a win. He is not forcing anything and not looking lost like previous games.

In the 3rd quarter there was a play that exemplifies the way I think Prince would get hockey style 2nd assists if you score them at home even though Monroe missed the shot:
Prince and Monroe ran a pick and roll and two defenders stayed with Monroe.  Rather than force a difficult pass as McGrady would have done last year, Prince passed the ball to Maxiell at the 3 point line who then had a perfect angle to hit Monroe with a pass in the pain and I think this was exactly what Prince intended.

Is it just me or has Jerebko lost that spring in his step that made him so special in his rookie season? I know he had that injury but he just doesn’t seem like he has got back to 100% of where he was before. BTW i am writing this as the Bucks are on a 9-0 run early in the 4th :-(

Perfect, this is looking like it has high potential for a strong game in which the Pistons (especially the young ones) play well and the lose in a nail biter. Woot.

Maxiell should never take the jumper he took with 300 left.

It is clear that Stuckey is hurt and shouldn’t be playing. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him sit when BG comes back.

Well played by all guys tonight for a good team win. Its good for these young guys to taste a win every know and then. On a side note Monroe is still not getting the calls from refs that he should and you can see that he is starting to get upset with it. His guernsey was being held and pulled so much tonight that i think Eddy Curry could fit into it. Finally i know i should be happy with this win but if the draft was tomorrow we would of gone from a 19% chance to a 5% chance of winning it.

Yeah wins in the overall scheme of things leaves me feeling ambivalent but the Pistons have plenty of opportunities left to lose and I think everyone should just relish this victory tonight.
