Monroe had his way with Hibbert. Hibbert couldnt do anything with Monroe. I'm okay with this snub. Monroe seems to always use this as part of his motivation to improve. Ive soured on the whole all-star thing. Its nice, but Im selfish. I love the NBA but I'm a Pistons fan first. I want Monroe to develop into a legit franchise player and take up that slot on the All-NBA third team. The All-star bids will then fall in line no problem. I know its a tall order but his improvement seems to have no bounds. (More Monroe Kool-Aid please)

And you missed:

3. Which East All-Star selection is the biggest surprise?
Graydon Gordian, 48 Minutes of Hell: Roy Hibbert. Hibbert is a better NBA player than I thought he would be. But he's still not a better player than Monroe. Hibbert's selection strikes me as an attempt to recognize Indiana's achievements this season, not choose the best player at his position in the East.

Greg Monroe is one of the best big men in the NBA. In just his second season as a pro, Monroe has posted great numbers, which has given the Pistons' franchise a glimmer of hope for the future. Monroe will see his share of All Star games. He has his whole career ahead of him.
