Remember when the Knicks waited to play Lin because they actually wanted Walker Russell and they were waiting to see if the Pistons released him? Then when the Pistons didn't release him they looked at other options, including Lin?

The Knicks didn't find Lin through some shrewd scouting/commitment to giving young players chances. They just got lucky. Good for them, but seriously ... Jeremy Lins don't grow on trees.

Actually, you are a troll because you comment from at least three different screen names.

Murph isn't nearly the same class of troll as you are. In fact, he posts way more useful comments than you ever have. It's not that he disagrees, it's that he creates things that I/Dan never wrote or twists the words of what we actually did write, and then disagrees with that. That's a form of trolling as well, just not as stupid as the kind you engage in.

Actually .. I would like the Pistonpowered writers to question why players like Wilkins and Russell are even on the team … both are about 30 years old .. have no past history of ever having been good players .. and at that age have no future So if anyone deserves a grade, it is Joe D .. (F-) for these guys being on the team.. But… here … they … both .. are.. Taking valuable roster spots and playing time away from Piston Players who could have a future … Meanwhile .. the Knicks at least take some younger guy, 23 years old, (Jeremy Lin, anyone?) who might have a future, who could become a good point guard (oops … sorry I said “point guard” .. dirty word around here)….. It is simply ridiculous to have these retreads on a team that is rebuilding .. but …. here they are .. and here they stay .. and Joe does stuff like this and no one at Pistonpowered even raises the question of it being a questionable / dumb move .. We need good young players to develop .. not old buddies to hang out with Joe and muck up the team development of the Detroit Pistons!

They were respectful and accurate. I went so far as to address the two of you as Mr. Feldman and Mr. Hayes. And I wasn’t an advocate of hiring Frank, along with many other posters. And I wasn’t an advocate of drafting Knight.

I believe I’m one of the few posters who wanted Walker over Knight. On the Walker/Knight comparison, it’s still too soon to tell who’ll develop into the better PG. But Feldman just gave Knight a D+ for the first half of the season.

And BTW, you need to learn how to use semicolons. When you write, “If you’re going to be critical, at least be accurate about your criticisms, don’t make stuff up.” You need to use a semicolon between the words “criticisms” and “don’t”, not a comma.

Your comments weren’t respectful, they were inaccurate. You created an idea that Dan and I have somehow been the world’s biggest Knight/Frank proponents, which is not the case, you didn’t cite any examples of us being overly excited about either in things we’ve written, and then you acted as if you’ve been the lone dissenting voice who has been right all along about those two. That’s annoying, and it’s the model a lot of your comments here take. If you’re going to be critical, at least be accurate about your criticisms, don’t make stuff up.

I’m not the one who started this flame throwing session. All I wrote was:

“Some of us weren’t quite so high on Lawrence Frank and Brandon Knight as Mr. Feldman and Mr. Hayes were. Just saying….”

My comments were perfectly respectful.

Then you started in with four paragraph worth of snarky comments. And you’re calling me the toll?? Hardly. You’re the self proclaimed “prick”, here.

Guilty. But in my defense, the only people who tend to dislike me in comments are people like yourself, who are trolls. I have pleasant, vigorous disagreements with a lot of people and like them (and I think they like me) just fine. I have no problem if the troll population of the world hates my guts. Trolls like you make the internet unbearable.
