russelll is the t-mac of this season. he is a player who can play as a true point guard. since chauncey left, that is something we have rarely seen. no one – not stuckey, not bynum, not gordon – else has that kind of skill.
no matter what joe d has been trying to sell fans the last few years, teams need that kind of player, and everytime we have on on the team, his play is like a revalation.
what was astounding to this fan, this year, was that jo appeared prepared to go back to the stuckey-as-point-guard experiment that had been revealed by t-mac’s play last year. after watching t-mac and how much better the team ran with him at the point, i fully expected that joe had given up on making stuckey his point guard. i guess not.

that is cold. coach nate may have gained a few pounds, but he’s nowhere near joe d territory.
he just looks like it because his face has always been round and full.

Don’t look now but … Pistons are .500 when Stuckey starts and finishes the game. If I had any ambition I’d check the records of the teams they’ve played to get a sense of the magnitude, but I can tell you right now, the teams in those six games have a much better record than the the rest of the schedule. Hopefully, Rodney will not have any ill effects. On the other hand, maybe its worthwhile to have him sit out the first part of back-to-backs more often.

I think we all know now for sure what our best backcourt looks like (Knight & Stuckey). Russell is a beast though

The team looks great without BG and CV. I say we amnesty half of each of them and then slap the left overs from each of them together. Oh wait would that make them even worse defensively??
