Not sure how he helps the team.

He’s known to be a scorer. Yet, last I looked, that wasn’t what the Pistons lacked. They need size, rebounding, defense (dead-last in rebounding, btw).

With Prince and Daye set in the 3-spot, where would Williams find minutes?
This is another example of Joe D setting up his fantasy team.

Steve K – Think about it this way if Stuckey wants way to much money to re-sign then this signing would be a good move reason being is with Stuckey out of the fold we could play Daye at shooting guard where he should have been playing all along… A 6’11″ SG is a mismatch from HELL……

He’s not the answer, but he’s a good piece. Though Pistons def need a 4/5 more, but if the price for Williams isn’t much, dude can play. He plays 2/3, so could back up BG and Tayshaun. (side comment: FO apparently given up on Daye?)

Williams would be a nice pick up cause we don’t know if Stuckey is coming back and we need another guard BUT thinking outside the box why haven’t we tried going after Nick Young? He would be a nice addition and would likely start at the 2 and have BG come off the bench as a 6th man, Dumars liked Young and almost drafted him but instead we went with Stuckey at the 15th spot instead. Nick Young is capable of tearing it up and can not only take it in but he can shoot the lights out

Nice idea but no need especially if stuckey’s option is picked up. I feel wilcox would have been a good option and the best available options and fits would be LANDRY AND REGGIE EVANS. evans is exactly what we need to pick up to help monroe he averaged an easy 10 reb in low mins with raptors, nice hustle player good defender for c’s and pf’s. landry would be a nice addition to pf, great effort and mobile big man, athletic and has a very good mid range jumper.

The only thing I want to hear is BIG MEN that Joe is interested in. This has to be joke. He just signed his SF for $7mil/yr. He shouldve thought of Reggie before when we actually needed a SF.

Another case of Joe over-crowding his perimeter, just because there might be more talented perimeter players out there than big men. We finally cleared the glu on the perimeter. Unless they are trading Daye BEFORE this signing, it makes 0 sense.

Joe needs to learn that a balanced roster with less talent is better than an unbalanced roster loaded with too perimeter players. One would think he would know better than anyone after the last few years but apparantly.

I cant remember the last time the Pistons seriously pursued a big man. Does Joe think his team is good enough to win without bigs?

I think the Pistons are looking at him as a SG, not a SF.

Plus I think the Pistons are just showing interest because of the Stuckey situation. I don’t think they’ll look to sign any guard if Stuckey comes back.

Ok so let’s sign Reggie Williams and use Stuckey as a sign-and-trade to the Clippers for Kaman and then the Clippers could flip Stuckey to the Hornets for Chris Paul since they won’t trade Eric Gordon to the Hornets… That would be the best the Pistons could hope for and it very well could happen…..

That’s an awful trade!.. Why would we trade Stuckey who is a 25yr old combo guard for a 29yr old injury prone Kaman…Why would you disrespect Stuckey like that…

        Who are you Stuckey’s agent?

Who gives a crap about disrespecting Stuckey?

I’ll trade an above avg combo guard for an above avg 7 foot center who is a consistent low post scorer, any day of the week. And 29 is NOT old.

I never said 29 was old…I was mostly pointing out that Kaman is injury prone and he isn’t equally valued as high as Stuckey…And yes, I am Stuckey’s agent…

Omar, I’m with Jodi Jezz on the Stuckey resigning. Has anyone given any thought to the realization that currently there is only one player on OUR roster who can dribble the full length of the court on a consistent basis. The player that I am refering to is the kid, Brandon Knight and he hasn’t dribble once in the League, yet.

Every since Chauncey was traded, Stuckey has been the only player who can even dribble well enough to break pressure. Now, it is true that when AI was on the roster, he too could dribble and Will B. can dribble fine enough, but Stuckey has logged the most minutes with the responsibility of handling the ball and you Stuckey-haters think that Reggie Williams or even Nick Young can handle these duties. And, Kaman for Stuckey. Yeah, I guess Kaman would be an addition, but not in exchange for Stuckey.

          Please, give me a break!

Joe needs to resign Stuckey, now, so that he and the other members of the roster can get this season started.

Kaman has recovered and played really well at the EuroBasket tournament. he is a good center to pair with Monroe and can score. Coach_Ackley is absolutely correct

Making a deal for Kamen is like playing Russian roulette with at least 4 bullets in the chamber.

I like Kamen, he’s a Michigander. However, we have scoring. It’s universally aknowledged that we need a strong athletic defensive frontcourt mate for the athletically challenged Monroe. Think…Ibaka to Kendrick Perkins or Josh Smith to Horford. Kamen is old, injury prone, and not really good at defense. A big plus to Kaman is he will be an expiring contract. If Golden State gets Deandre Jordan, could we snag Udoh? He has potential. Or even Biedrins if he shows he has come back to form. Used to be an elite rebounder and shotblocker. We need a long term athletic fix at center. I don’t think that person is Kaman.

Talan – To say that Kaman can’t play defense is incorrect cuz for his career he is avg. 1.2 blocks a game and only one 1 person on the Pistons roster right now has the same avg. ” Ben Wallace 1.2 bpg “…. Tay’s is 1.1 blocks per game.. So Kaman would be a massive upgrade to what we have now with our bigs…..
