why would anyone offer the MLE? Jerebko just isn’t worth that. If someone does, just let them screw themselves over with bad decisions.

Who’s to say another team wouldn’t have offered Jonas even more money and driven our price to match up. I would have been mad if another team offered him the mid level and we didn’t match.

Its official, I am off the Joe D bandwagon. I can understand trying to resign Rodney Stuckey and Jonas Jerebko but overpaying Tayshan Bufonery/Prince for 4 years is ridirkulous. And not good like in the Dirk Nowitizki finals MVP sense. F Joe D.

Daye does not have the body to be a 4…I can see him as a 2 as well as a 3…

i’d bet that joe envisions daye playing lots of minutes at the 4. this fan does not like that prospect, but i think that is joe’s plan…
daye primarily working as tay’s backup, with extended minutes at the 4 spot, either starting or backing up JJ. for better or worse, it looks like monroe is going to be the starting center.

Does the Prince signing me that Austin Daye is on the block…Pistons have too many 3s and 2s(with Hamilton coming back), but not enough (quality wises) 5s and 4s…I don’t think that the nunbers work for the Pistons….

yes, it is probably a bit more than he would get on the market…but just a bit. i actually think it is pretty close to JJ’s market value.
he’s a very attractive player, for lots of reasons.
good move. and, imho, it is tough to be upset when a guy who plays as hard as JJ does, gets paid. he deserves whatever he’ll get. and the odds are that he will out-perform his contract, if he stays healthy.

Yep. Joe likes to bid against himself. Jerebko should live up to this, but it’s still overpaying.
