Scott Perry allegedly talked to Kyle Singler, subjecting Pistons to fine if true
MARCA.com, as translated by HoopsHype:
Pistons vice president of basketball operations Scott Perry was caught speaking with Kyle Singler for some minutes at the end of the game between Lucentum Alicante and Gran Canaria, something that is forbidden during the lockout.
The going rate for NBA lockout fines for team personnel talking to or about players seems to be $1 million. In other words, more than Kyle Singler’s salary next year.

A million bucks for saying hi? Wow. What are the owners afraid of? Dude just wanted to say what’s up, that’s all. How’s the mom, the wife, whatever. Just being friendly.

True but in a lockout these tough fines might be a quick cash scheme from the owners. Not much money overall but they’ve proven to be greedy for every penny they can get from anyone. Players, team personnel, fans with ticket prices, anyone who can put another buck in their pockets.

man that’s tough. i hope he doesn’t get that kind of fine… that’s some BS.
What seems to be forgotten in this situation is the players and the teams employees are on the same team. just because the players and owners are feuding, everyone else will be working towards the same goal as soon as the lockout ends.
Good to see Perry out supporting Singler despite the lockout. Hopefully he escapes a monter fine…
