Superstars have a ton of value cuz they are way under paid. Joe Johnson and Elton Brand are very good players but have negative value. Prince currently doesn't have much because he isn't on a contract. So if a team with cap space wants him, he has no trade value to the Pistons. If a team without does, he is only worth as much as the difference between how good he is and how good a matching salary they send back is. No way Dumars gets more than a late first rounder for him. Is he going to get a huge contract? probably not. But that does not mean he does not have plenty of value to GM's around the league. They'll be making a huge play for Howard when he's a FA, so a team of D.Will, Morrow, Prince, Lopez and Dwight would be the best team in the east IMO. Obviously signing Howard is far from guaranteed, but there's a good chance they could get him.
