I agree with those that say Magic/Bird saved the NBA and a huge part of that was that their rivalry started in college in that NCAA title game. There are compelling arguments for both sides of the issue (going to college vs. going straight to pros) and there probably always will be with no clear cut answer. I’ve been wanting to read this for a while – just haven’t gotten around to it yet.
