True. But hoping you might do better with Singler isn’t necessarily better than aggressively pursuing someone who could meet the team’s big need–size and an interior presence.

Again, I’ve never seen Singler play for more than a few minutes. My instinct, though is to be underwhelmed by a guy of seemingly limited skill and athleticism for a position that easier to fill.

I maybe overrating Singler a little bit but I never said anything about MVP voting for Peja I’m talking about true shooting percentage is where I think Singler would do his damage.. Like how good of a shooter he can be and if he don’t than he can make a difference in hustle plays but I do not believe this pick deserves less than a B-…

As a rookie, Singler probably won’t be a guy who commands respect in the locker room and convinces his teammates to follow his lead. But if the Pistons continue to add players who act the right way (presumably guys like Singler), they can make a bottom-up impact. And that can happen with guys who are any age.

At his best, Stojakovic finished fourth in MVP voting. I’m not sure whether you’re overrating Singler or underrating Peja, but you’re doing at least one.

I’m not sure Singler is definitely an upgrade over DaJuan Summers. But he might be. At this point, Summers is what he is. The chance of improvement is better than knowing you’re getting an end-of-bench player.

I agree with scott. Tyler needs work, but has talent. Jordaon Williams is a little slow, but a beast rebounder. Trey Thompkins was a low post -scorer, one of the most skilled in the draft. Keith Benson just needs 20 pounds. 4 years ago he was 6’5. All he needed was time. Get any of these guys working with Ben Wallace, Greg Monroe, arnie Kander and (hopefully) Bill Laimbeer, and youve got a rotation big with upside.

In the East you need defensive stoppers at the 3. Liggins was available at 52, and thats what he is. Liggins has a great attitude, and came from a winning team where he sacrificed his talent to let one-and-done players shine.

We missed this one guys! Round 1, we did the best we could, that gets an A. But we could have done better in round 2, and now we will depend on big a trade just to get a team that can tread water and stay at 30 wins.

Scott mark my words Jeremy Tyler will be a bust the dude has no work ethic at all you have to have a work ethic to even make a difference in the NBA…. He’ll never live up to the fans expectations.. I see him in the mold as Kwame Brown without the number1 pick tag and Jordan Williams thanks but no thanks….

Well OATS you know there will be a lockout and Singler will have plenty of time to work on his shot you never wanna put down a player with a very good work ethic he will improve and when he figures out the defense in the NBA he will put up Peja numbers….
