Being a Detroit transplant living in Richmond, VA (the home of VCU) I have enjoyed the up close opportunity to watch Skeen over the past two years. The thing about Skeen that sets him apart from other undersized PFs (including Maxiell) is his high basketball IQ, shooting touch, and ability to will himself and his team to higher potential.
While I am not positive that Skeen is the right fit alongside Monroe in the frontcourt, he would be great in playing off of a D threat like Bismack Biyombo if the Pistons were to pick him at 8.
I agree wholeheartedly that Skeen is the top of prospect you take with a late second round pick, as his upside is great, yet as a 2nd rounder you can stash him overseas or in the D-League and let him grow with little effect on this year's roster.
