In the meantime, all a coach needs to do is help the young guys develop and try to improve players' trade values. To that end, I would shy away from a coach who favors a slow paced game. As for the players' respect for the coach, I don't think there is anyone available who they will have a ton of respect for from day one (maybe Adelman, that's it, and he's probably not available to the Pistons). Anyone the Pistons hire will have to earn it. So if Frank is good about communicating with players and defining roles, that's good enough for me.
