I guess the question comes down to how much they value the Jamison contract.   Varejao is definitely more trade-able than Hickson since Varejao's contract is guaranteed at roughly $9M/season for three more seasons. Yikes. That's an albatross, especially for a dude that missed 51 games last year. The Pistons could probably get Varejao for pretty much any short-term contract, if they wanted. I agree that’s a better deal for Cleveland. I guess the question comes down to how much they value the Jamison contract.
 
Varejao is definitely more trade-able than Hickson since Varejao’s contract is guaranteed at roughly $9M/season for three more seasons. Yikes.
