Conley is only a little worse than Miller.
Mayo has contributed a little more than Fernandez.
Gasol, even in a disappointing season, is considerably better than Batum.
Tony Allen has been almost as good as Wes Matthews (worse early, better late in the season).
54 games of Gay is a lot better than the combined production of Camby and Wallace for the Blazers.
Battier has given the Griz about as much as Roy has the Blazers.

I think that's all the significant players apart from Zach and LaMarcus. So which of these statements do you disagree with? I mean, I think the Griz had the better team but I can see calling it about equal. How is Aldridge's significantly better than Randolph's though?

I reject the notion that Lamarcus has a worse supporting cast than Z Bo.

- Gay has missed 28 games due to injury.

- Mayo spent about 2/3 of the season in a funk that he's just come out of down the stretch.

- Conley is solid, but not better than Andre Miller.

- Marc Gasol hasn't had a great season.

Randolph had a fantastic season and led them to the playoffs. No disrespect to Aldridge, but I think his supporting cast is significantly better than Zach's.

That's true, Matthews is solid, arguably Aldridge's best teammate this year. But he is another decent, unspectacular player--just like Batum and Miller. The only playoff team with a worse supporting cast around their best player all year (so not counting Wallace) is New Orleans. Arguably Indiana I guess. But they don't deserve to be called a playoff team. The point is that you seriously snubbed Aldridge.

You leave out Wes Matthews! How could you!

And I will always do whatever I can to point out that Wade is better than Kobe. Also, I expect the alpha dog Wade to return in crunch time in the playoffs. Lebron got them through the regular season, now Wade is going to take games over in the playoffs.

Wow, I can't believe how incredibly similarly the two of you think. Especially with your identical all-defense teams and your mutual exclusion of Aldridge from all-NBA. That, by the way, was a travesty. He should be all second team. Seriously, same argument as Dirk. His team is not very good. When Roy has played, he has been a below average player. Batum has been a fairly average starting SF: same range as Prince, Hill, and Kirilenko. Miller is a decent PG, but with all the great PGs in the league, that makes him well below average as a starter. Fernandez has onl helped in a few games, Oden has obviously done nothing, and he has only had Wallace as a teammate for a little while. And Portland is still a 48 win team in the west.
So Aldridge isn't on the same level as Dirk or Durant. But you both have Randolph on your all-NBA teams. He has had more help all season and still ended up with 2 fewer wins. Randolph's rebounds are definitely gaudier, but he is about half the defender that LaMarcus is.
Apart from that, I particularly appreciate Hayes putting Wade ahead of Kobe. Wade doesn't get nearly enough credit for being able to put up stats as good as last year while no longer being the alpha dog on his own team.
