Tom Gores, Karen Davidson could complete sale of Detroit Pistons soon
Word in league circles is that negotiations to sell the Pistons to billionaire Tom Gores are far enough along to expect the matter to come to a vote by the Board of Governors April 14-15 in New York.
Ah, the elusive sale. I’m not getting my hopes up. If I understand correctly, every detail must be worked out between Gores and Karen Davidson before the Board of Governors votes. April 14 is coming up quickly.
Possible? Sure. Likely? I have reservations.

as much as i would love the sale to happen (already), i don’t think any story is worth posting except for one headlined ‘pistons sold to ‘xxxxx”
but definitely not a strike towards the post, just an opinion to the situation

Yeah i read this yesterday and thought the same thing. Funny fact about the pending sale is that Detroit is the only team in the league that hasn’t completed a single transaction this season. Does anyone know if a team has gone through a whole season without at least 1 transaction before?

Hey Feldman, I was just wondering which owner you prefer over Illitch and Gores?

As a longtime Pistons fan I am sick and tired of all the back and forth on who might buy the team. I just want a new owner now so the team can get better. I prefer Illitch but what do I know?!
