Unfortunately, unless Detroit can strip itself of some other bad contracts (Hamilton, Gordon, Maxiell), it will be counter productive to re-sign either Prince or Stuckey. And while I am all for chasing the playoffs as opposed to tanking, Prince and Stuckey should have considerable value to a lot of teams for the remainder of this year. There really ought to be a way to give those players away as the sweeteners to get rid of some of the bad contracts. For example: Gordon+Maxiell+Stuckey may well be able to fetch Butler+Stevenson and maybe even Barea or Mahinmi on top of that.
Unlike some PP readers, I actually like Stuckey, but his value runs out after this season because odds are that he will fetch a contract for at least as much money as he is worth. His true value comes in the fact that he is presently capable of outperforming his rookie scale contract.

Kind of unbelievable that McGrady didn’t make this list… And I sure hope a couple GM’s out there think there is any truth to Stuckey “Not yet hitting his cieling”, and decide to throw more money at him then Dumars is willing to… Only then can we truly “Rebuild”

Then all we need to do is draft Jimmer Frdette, and we have our PG of the future..
