Three things to watch

1. Can Brandon Jennings get it going?

Jennings has struggled since returning from a broken wrist, shooting just 25 percent in five games. He’s also never played particularly well against Detroit in his career. But if Rodney Stuckey is not healthy yet, the Pistons have no one near quick enough to defend him, and returning home after an unsuccessful road trip could add up to a big night for Jennings.

2. Another step towards the playoffs?

Well last night the Pistons had to hold off a pretender hoping to sneak into the hunt for the eight seed, the Bucks are currently one of the three teams ahead of the Pistons for that final playoff spot. The Bucks have a two game lead on the Pistons in the standings, so this is an opportunity to gain some ground. Or lose some ground, depending on your perspective on things.

3. About that Hamilton fella?

There’s not too much I can add about the Rip Hamilton situation. Dan expertly collected info on what happened from various sources last night. I’ll just say it’s depressing. I don’t believe Hamilton is the same player he used to be. But I also don’t believe he’s incapable of helping this team and I don’t believe, even if he is a little prideful at times, he’s a locker room cancer. For someone who has played as hard as he has for this organization, he deserved it to end better. But then again, so did Chauncey Billups.
