Chauncey Billups lets Richard Hamilton’s phone call go to voicemail, says Hamilton “is pulling for anything to get out of his current situation”
Marc. J Spears of Yahoo! Sports:
Denver Nuggets guard Chauncey Billups looked at his cell phone Tuesday morning and noticed he was receiving a call from an old teammate who very well could become his new teammate.
“That’s Rip calling me right now,” Billups said before letting the call go to voice mail.
Billups has had several conversations with Hamilton about the potential trade and expects a resolution before too long. While Billups doesn’t want to leave his hometown of Denver, he’s accepted it’s a real possibility. Hamilton, meanwhile, is more than ready to leave the rebuilding Pistons.
“I’m sure we will find out soon if it will be a reality or not,” Billups told Yahoo! Sports. “I’ll be ready either way. Of course, Rip . We will see.”

I would chip in $10 for that buyout lol. but who are we kidding. he has a nice amount of money coming to him so Rip is fine with waiting. I sure hope this goes through. Although who will we target in the free agency if it does? Zach Randolph is getting old. We could always hold our cap space for 2012 then…

On a completely off topic note: How about those Cavs? If they give up JJ Hickson to get Amare how much different is the landscape of the NBA right now? Do Lebron and Amare stay in Cleveland? Do they win the championship? Ahh well I guess JJ Hickson, Antawn Jamison, and a future of 50 point blow outs and all-time worst records sounded better. I’m scared for the Cavs they are in seriously bad shape right now. And there isn’t even a consensus #1 pick waiting for them.
