What would be the incentive for either of those teams to make those deals? If Memphis wants only expiring contracts, why not just let Randolph expire? The Pistons would definitely have to give up at minimum one of their young prospects (Daye/Jerebko/Monroe) or a first round pick to get him.

And as for Washington, even if they are really shopping Blatche, they can certainly come up with a better deal for him. He's productive and signed to a reasonable long-term deal, yet they are going to take an aging, locked up shooting guard in return, when they just got rid of their aging, locked up shooting guard in Gil?

I'm all for a trade. But come on. People have to be realistic about both what little value most Pistons players have right now and what the needs of the other team are.

trade Prince & Wilcox or Max to Memphis for Zach (Memphis is definitely going to trade Zach at the deadline)

trade Bynum & Rip to Washington for Blatche & Hinrich (Blatche is a questionable character guy but i like his upside. Hinrich is a combo guard who can run an offense & a good defensive player. He & Stuckey would cause lots of problems for other teams bench players)

couldn’t agree more. Hollinger is on point. Watching Will Bynum pound the ball for 23 seconds makes me want to smash the TV – get him out of the rotation.

Thunder Cats was one of my favorite shows as a kid. I think it was really awesome how they combined something really cool, thunder, with something playful, cats. It was the best of both worlds in the worst of times. It is indicative of who we are as humans, and who they were as cats.

Joe Dumars has completely and purposely screwed this team up in my opinion. If he wants to coach then do it, but quit hiring these patsies who’ll do his bidding making everyone involved look like they need a clue. You want new blood hire someone outside the loop and get out of the way, like Reggie Theus maybe. He’d make a great coach and has proven results at New Mexico and doing a better job with the Kings than the current coach and with less talent no less.
