Points per 100 possessions is a better measure than points per game the pace clouds the results.

The Pistons scored 105.6 points per 100 possessions (21st in the league) and allowed 111.4 points per 100 possessions (26th). Neither their offense nor defense is good enough to win with, but the defense is further behind.

The pistons need ANYONE who is a legitimate scorer. You can always find someone who is "great defensively", but sooner or later you need to score enough points to win. Scoring only 93 points a game just isn't going to get it done. Yes, you can use the argument that defense leads to offense, however in the Pistons case that's just not true. It's nearly impossible to play a defense that will hold your opponent below 93 points a game. That said, the Pistons need to focus on increasing their "O" right now.

Davis seems like he's still a couple years away from really hitting his stride. I want someone who's a little better at basketball right now. Plus, if he wasn't at North Carolina, I'm not sure he'd be a lottery pick.

I think so, too. But I hope not. He's not overly athletic, so I could see him not making the best impression in individual workouts.

Ed Davis is a much more physical player than Greg Monroe or Ekpe Udoh. Ed is a intense defensive player, which the Pistons need.

Monroe is soft, got enough of that in the paint already. Either forward from Wake Forest or Baylor would help though.
