Sending Pistons’ rookies to summer league would be wise plan

From Chris Iott of MLive:

Pistons coach John Kuester on Friday said the team has not made a final decision on which players will participate in the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas in early July, but it is possible all three rookies — Daye, Jonas Jerebko and DaJuan Summers — could be headed there.

I think sending all three players to Las Vegas is the best course. Daye and Summers could obviously use the work. And if they go, Jerebko should, too.

I’m not saying Jerebko is getting a big head, but he’s looked for his shot and has argued with officials a little more often throughout the season. Suggesting he doesn’t need the experience like the other two rookies wouldn’t be a healthy message.

Send Daye/Summers to the D-League, where they can get much, much needed work; summers looked great in summer league last year, but that offense never transfered into game situations; yeah, I no he never got playn time, but if you are a scorer, u should be able to adapt and turn it on whenever, lets stop making playn time an excuse 4 not making shots. they both need experience and toughness. GET IT DONE!! No EXCUSES!!
