1) Do you know what time today the tiebreaker for Philly/Detroit will be?
2) What are the actual odds of 6th or 7th pick?

One game? Just 3 more losses gives us the 3rd “seed,” guarantees us a top-6 player, and means the Pistons don’t draft Aldrich. Does anyone else here have the sinking feeling that instead of starting Wall, Turner, Cousins or Favors for the next 10 years, we’ll have 10 years of crappy 10th best player gamble “high ceiling” big men?

I can’t believe they didn’t just drop one game in order to move up 2-3 spots. this could have huge ramifications a few years from now when cousins and favors are killing it, and we draft a project from Wake

Cam, the lottery is only for the top three picks. So, every team has a chance at the first, second and third pick.

After that, teams are slotted in order of their records. So, because the Pistons had the sixth/seventh-worst record, they will get the sixth or seventh pick if three teams worse than them get the top three picks.

If a team better than them moves up to one of the top three spots, Detroit is bumped down a pick. If two move up, Detroit is bumped two picks. Etc.

Ive been reading this thread the past couple weeks or so…
why is it again, that they cannot receive a 4th or 5th pick?
