Gilbert Areanas is a great move for us right now because we could figure out a way to dump rip and ben gordons contracts onto them they have dead money so they will give him away and now is the time to strike because they just want him outta there we could dump multiple contracts on them and maybe even have them pay some of his contract it saves money this year and we could set it up so we could free up enough money to sign a superstar next year aka bosh amare you could convince them to come by having a lottery pick next year and another superstar in areanas he can still put up 25 a night and this year off will get his mind right and make him healthy new scene at worst you figure out a way to dump a bunch of our dead contracts on them and if you think they’ll never get rid of ben Gordon so early they need to wake up Gordon has been nothing for us this healthy or not hes not worth the contract if we want a championship hes not the answer not saying gilbert is but he def gives us a chance to hit the jackpot just like sheed ideally proj 2010 lineup

Send Max and Kwame (Or Max, Chucky, and Wilcox) for Okafor instead… Kwame’s (Or Chucky’s) expiring contract eases their finances and Max (Or Wilcox) can be good recipients of CP3′s lobs.
Heard that Big Al is being shopped around by Minny… Send ‘em Kwame, Max, and Chucky… Those two bigs will alow Kevin Love to be the focal point of their post game as they should complement him well with rebounding and D.

riiiight, so lets ignore the fact that CV was recently sidelined with a broken nose and is now playing through plantar fasciitis. did you forget how well he was playing before those injuries?

this trade itself is pretty laughable, but the suggested moves afterwards are just downright stupid. let stuckey walk after his rookie contract runs out? resign tayshaun?

1) west would NOT push this team into the playoffs.
2) …even if he did, why would we want to be a fringe capped-out playoff team when we have a shot at landing a stud in the lottery?

what the pistons should be focused on doing is finding buyers for rip and tay’s albatross contracts, not trading their small contracts for an older player who does nothing to solve their current cap situation.
