The Pistons went south the second Dumars traded Billups, period.

I don’t think the Pistons will ultimately be as bad as they were last night, but unfortunately, I think the Pistons are bad (and I’ve thought so since we signed Gordon and CV).
Our ceiling, IMO, was 41-45 wins — and that’s if everyone stayed healthy, and our young guys showed improvement.
Neither of those things have happened. Stuckey, in spite of scoring a lot of points, has regressed from last season. Everyone and their brother has been injured. And none of our young big guys (other than JJ) have stepped up. Wilcox and Max have been almost nonexistent. Kwame has been slightly better, but only slightly.
We can’t defend inside, and we can’t rebound. Our guards, when healthy, can score from the perimeter, but we have nothing to speak of in terms of scoring inside.
Put all that together, and you get a 30-35 win team, which is exactly what we are.
