Pistons reach deal with Ben Gordon

By Dan Feldman - 7:36 pm | July 1st, 2009

Detroit has agreed to a five-year contract worth about $55 million with Ben Gordon, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.

This is a little more than money than I expected, but I’m still slightly optimistic on the signing.

He can’t officially sign until July 8.

What will this signing mean for RIP and Stucky??

    • Dan Feldman says:

Stuckey is still the centerpiece of the future.

I think Dumars is comfortable bringing Hamilton back, but he may have to trade him to land a big man. With Gordon in the fold, Rip is expendable.

signing uconn stars gordon and villanueva will invigorate the pistons squad mos def. it will also be interesting to see who they choose for their coach… joe d must thank jim calhoun in part for developing players like rip, gordon and charlie v who all have or will be key parts to our franchise. i’d be fine with collins, johnson or jeff van gundy
