I think there are a lot of signs Kuester doesn't have the temperament to lead a team. But his basketball knowledge is tantalizing.

His shortcomings aren't going to cost the Pistons a title this year. So, I think he's worth taking a chance on. Maybe he'll develop with the rest of Detroit's young players.

Gee thanks. Any positives you care to share, or did you just come on here to knock the new coach down a couple pegs?

Pistons Fans be wary... I've seen Kuester's work up close. He coached at GW my freshman year. His record: 13-15 (or something close to that). The year before? 1 and 27.... Granted college and the NBA are two different games but he never struck me as a "coaching genius"... also he has a bit of a temper. He got tossed from a number of games for arguing with the refs. And just in case you're thinking "BIG DEAL" what talent did he have at GW? Kuester got fired after the 13 and 15 season. Mike Jarvis came in and with the same kids that Kuester recruited got them to the NCAAs two years later(the Sweet 16 in fact where GW lost to Chris Webber, Jalen Rose and the Michigan FAB FIVE). Jarvis was a good coach(albeit he played loose with the rules...). Kuester was\ is not.

PS: He had more hair back then too... LOL!
