Projected score

By Dan Feldman - 4:07 am | March 1st, 2009

I’ve added a new feature to game previews: projected score.

Detroit’s score is  the average of its points per possession and the points per possession allowed by its opponent, times the average pace of both teams.

The Pistons’ opponent’s score is the average of its points per possession and Detroit’s points per possession allowed, times the average pace of both teams.

All statistics are found through basketball-reference.com.

In game reviews, I will also dissect why the projected score matched, or more likely, didn’t match the actual final.
